An interactive exhibit exploring the ongoing genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan is in place on Fletcher Lawn today and tomorrow (Nov. 18-19).

In addition to tents detailing such tragedies as Darfur, the Holocaust, Armenia, Cambodia and Rwanda, speakers and performances are featured. Today at 5:30 p.m is a musical performance by February State, an Arizona rock band characterized by a fresh new sound, memorable songs and a distinctive vocal style.

On tomorrow’s schedule is a chance to meet and talk with Holocaust survivor Magda Herzberger. A poet, lecturer, composer and author, Herzberger is one of the few remaining survivors of the Nazi-perpetrated death camps — against all odds she survived three such camps: Auschwitz-Birkenau, Bremen, and Bergen-Belsen. She will be on site at Camp Darfur all day Thursday.

For more information, click here. To contact the West campus Office of Student Engagement for Camp Darfur schedule information, call 602-543-8200.
