We’re not into ducking important news when it happens at the West campus. That’s why we have to tell you about the recent wildlife sighting by grad student Natalie Gagnon.
Gagnon, who is pursuing a master’s degree and teacher certification in special education through Teachers College, spotted a mother duck and her three ducklings making their way across campus near the University Center Building. Out came the cell phone camera to capture the moment.
Momma duck’s motherly instincts kicked in when Gagnon tried to get a bit closer. “She protectively hissed at me and her ducklings knew to quietly gather near her for safety.”
